XLHealth
Website Design and Development
In addition to providing its audiences with educational and marketing materials, XLHealth needed to make its content available online. This website needed to maintain compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and HIPAA regulations, as well as be a user-friendly tool that allows its visitors to navigate with ease.
We worked closely with XLHealth to ensure that we met CMS and HIPAA compliance, and maintained a mirror of the live site that is used for CMS to review any applicable updates or additions to the site before they are viewable to the public.
Matching the overall growth of Care Improvement Plus, Planit developed a newly expanded website that maintained the brand and multi-state reach of the company while offering much more robust information and services for their primary audiences. Members, providers, and licensed agents are each directed to their targeted portal of the site where they can find the information they need quickly and efficiently, as well as sustained and original functionality from previous adaptations of the site. Members search a variety of program and availability information, licensed agents order program materials, and providers access relevant details all through one location—www.careimprovementplus.com. Each of these audience portals, along with the robust newsroom, are broken down even further by state to ensure that every unique visitor is getting the most accurate information possible for their needs. While the site has grown five times in size since we initially developed it, it has been a case study in smart growth online and has proven to be a priceless resource for the company.
We developed the site in ASP in a manner that allowed for potentially hefty updates to be done quickly, thereby reducing maintenance costs. We also developed several back-end features to allow the Care Improvement Plus team to perform certain tasks and gather a variety of reports and user information without the need for programmers or developers. The four primary portals were all developed in-house at Planit, and we coordinated with a few of XLHealth’s medical information vendors to incorporate their existing data and resources.
