Johns Hopkins University and its associated Medical Center boast over a century of exploration, discovery, scholarship, and global philanthropy. Today JHU is a world leader in education, research, and patient care, with nearly 20,000 current students and some 150,000 active alumni around the world. Planit redefined the online experiences for those alumni and other interested parties connected with the institution by creating two sites – Alumni and Giving—to develop and foster relationships in fresh and dynamic ways.

By creating an intuitive navigation scheme to streamline thousands of pages of content and ways to give to the organization, Planit’s solution reduces the number of clicks to get visitors to their destinations. Further, Planit’s design and architecture help create a sense of belonging and appreciation for the alumni that may not have been there before in the school’s fragmented web identity. The work includes Flash-based home page story segments, Flash world maps, a video player, and Facebook and Twitter integration.
