Aside from online advertising, my first love is playing the guitar. When I’m not playing in a band or practicing at home, I'm at an ethnic restaurant downtown - Thai and Indian are favorites.
As Planit's media director, Chris oversees the strategy, purchasing, implementation, and optimization of all paid search, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns.
Chris began his online marketing career selling display advertising for Cygnus Business Media in 2003. As the national sales manager for their flagship online public safety portals, his client list included Shell Oil, Caterpillar, Underwater Kinetics, and Stinger. He also worked on the launch of the company’s first web portal targeted to the construction industry.
Chris then directed the online marketing department for Edison Worldwide, a venture capital company located in Baltimore. Here, Chris honed his skills in the world of direct response marketing and learned how to set up, strategize, monitor, and optimize online marketing campaigns to drive qualified traffic and maximize ROI for Edison's diverse brands.
Prior to joining Planit, Chris worked at TruePresence, an interactive ad agency that specialized in paid search, online media buying, affiliate marketing, landing page design, and e-mail marketing. His efforts improved the client workflow and streamlined processes across departments to maintain scalable solutions and happy clients. As the senior director of interactive strategy, his interactive clients included BMW, Volkswagen, Medifast, Comcast, and The Baltimore Orioles.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Towson University, where he studied public relations, advertising and journalism.
