Planit’s Project Managers are the day-to-day owners of a project from inception to completion.  These natural born planners are a vital part of the creative output, ensuring that all projects are executed successfully, timely and within budget.  They are the specialists who get things done.  A successful candidate is highly organized, with hyper-focused attention to detail.  They are proactive collaborations across account management, strategy, design and technical services.  They have the ability to map out project plans, timelines and budgets that are clearly communicated to all internal and external audiences, with creative problem-solving skills and exceptional communication.



  • Manager multiple projects – primarily digital initiatives – at any given time
  • Map out project plans to establish both internal and external expectations and continue to manage said expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with Planit’s Traffic and Operations team to determine resources, align schedules and ensure all necessary departments are included
  • Communicate to the internal teams on a regular basis about project statuses, potential risks or obstacles, planned milestones and budget implications
  • Monitor the project budget on a regular basis, updating team members when applicable



  • Clearly outline all project requirements and deliverables
  • Produce project documentation when necessary – i.e. functional spec
  • Create realistic project timelines and hold both internal and external teams accountable to specified milestones
  • Assist the appropriate resources to put together estimates for Account Management
  • Attend, participate and at times, lead necessary internal meetings, including team statuses
  • Regularly monitor budget reports to evaluate efficiency and profitability
  • Train and manage client deliverables in content management systems and collaboration tools
  • Review and ensure project deliverables meet specified requirements



  • At least 2-4 years of experience managing projects, budgets and timelines within an agency or an in-house creative department
  • Ability to plan projects with day-to-day and long term future phases in mind
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Have a creative and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to carefully evaluate situations and make educated decisions with supporting evidence
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and easily adjust to changing priorities
  • Collaborative attitude and team mentality
  • Experience managing digital initiatives ranging from email campaigns and website builds to website maintenance and HTML5 banners
  • Strong understanding of the creative and QS process
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, including experience presenting to varying audiences
  • Experience working in various CMS solutions
