Summary:

The Account Manager Supervisor will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with his/her assigned portfolio of clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. The chosen candidate will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions that are in line with client and market demands. This position requires beauty industry experience and understanding of latest beauty trends, product offerings and overall industry landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Is knowledgeable about client business and marketing objectives
  • Uses critical thinking to make decisions in relation to client issues and initiatives (asking “what if?” while providing critical and judicious approaches to solving problems)
  • Understands the internal and external process for execution
  • Ensures analysis is completed on a timely basis
  • Manages client budgets within the agency
  • Is intimately familiar with the clients’ product(s), market conditions, and competitors
  • Monitors and identifies implications to competitive environment
  • Leads managers through the day-to-day workflow of clients’ projects
  • Supports senior leadership within team
  • Manages junior members of the team
  • Enforces adherence to quality standards for the team as set forth by senior leadership
  • Builds relationships at appropriate client/vendor levels
  • Works closely with senior leadership to identify and suggest solutions on how to improve agency and team morale
  • Keeps abreast of current and upcoming marketing trends
  • Works with senior team leaders to ensure that junior member goals are achieved

Tasks:

  • Reviews initial tactical plans and ensures they’re on strategy and on budget
  • Presents plans and/or work to clients with or without interdisciplinary colleagues to obtain comments/secure approval
  • •Reviews proposals, process flows, vendor recommendations, and status reports
  • Keeps account director informed with regular status updates
  • Recaps client comments to internal partners through conference reports
  • Reviews client comments in the form of a conference report
  • Develops and obtains internal and external approval of project briefs
  • Reviews appropriate work in progress before presentation to client
  • Presents final analysis internally and to extended team
  • Helps to facilitate hiring, managing, developing, and promoting junior team members
  • Participates in weekly departmental staff meetings
  • Attends interdepartmental briefings
  • Keeps director of account management and other senior leadership apprised of the status of work when appropriate

Qualifications:

  • Has reached account executive level or above with 6+ years of general experience
  • 2+ years of experience within an advertising agency or comparable experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal team relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team builder
  • Beauty & cosmetic industry experience preferred
  • Must have proven experience in digital marketing
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically during the work week
